A big ole heartfelt thank you to all that help make the Chicago shows so fun for us. It really does mean the world to all involved. Both nights were sold out and couldn’t have been more fun for everyone. The club we played called Martyrs’ was extremely cool and sounded incredible. Great people all the way around and we can’t wait to come back to see you all.

As you guys know, this thing has developed into something very special for us and hopefully all of you. We have certainly shared some good times with many of you out in New York and Chicago as well as here in Nashville with these Guitar Party shows. We want to keep it going and play the “quality, not quantity” venues that we have been up to this point. I think we’ll be able to do that.

Even though we learned that Young Tom isn’t old enough to rent a “premium” SUV at the last minute (we’re changing his name to “Too Young Tom” now!) and Nicky G got violent food poisoning the first night, these little things don’t even seem to phase us at this point! Nick really rallied like the badass pro he is and gave it 120% as usual. We’re all old road dogs at this point and pretty much know how to roll down the highway with ease. The fact that we’re all such good friends and are there for the right reasons musically makes these shows super entertaining for everybody I feel. There is no real separation from stage to audience, we’re all in it together and it just doesn’t get any better than that for us.

I’m sure we’re eventually going to work our way to the West Coast soon as well as some other select destinations. If you haven’t seen one of these shows yet, we hope to catch you at the next one. The adventure continues in a big way!

Also big thanks to everyone at Loud Hailer Magazine that wrote a beautiful review after the shows. Be sure to read that. It’s linked below!

Thanks again!

Guthrie Trapp talks his approach to building a career.

“It’s 106 miles to Chicago, we’ve got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes; it’s dark and we’re wearing sunglasses.”
